Why Give?

"Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty.
Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving,
all because God loves hilarious generosity!"​ ​

What does SHIFT church believe about Giving?

• WORSHIP - We give to the church as an act of worship to God for the everlasting goodness and great generosity He has shown to us. (Proverbs 3:9-10; Philippians 4:18)

• BLESSING - God blesses those who are generous and those who support His kingdom work. (Malachi 3:10-12;; )

• IMITATE - Our God is a generous God, so we give because we desire to live like Him. (Acts 20:35)

• ONE ANOTHER - We give to provide for one another in the church, so that no one has a need. (Acts 4, Eph 4)

• We give because we love our church and we recognize that the church has physical needs that need to be met in order to accomplish the work God has given us to do - including, but not limited to; building/facilities costs, a pastor and his family to support, as well as other operational costs. (Luke 8:1-3; John 13:29; 1 Corinthians 9:13-14).
